The following are an assortment of issues that converters from v4 need to recognize and make advanced preparations to address. Sites who do not address these issues tend to have a very unpleasant first day of using the upgraded SOAPware.
What to Expect...
Electronic prescribing has changed. See Rx Manager.
None of the Diagnoses and Medications that are already entered into patient charts will be converted. The Summary Active/Inactive Problems, Allergies and Medications will need updating-replacement as patients return. SMARText removes the need for the ID after medications.
Updating from one SOAPware v4 to another v4 was similar to jumping off one bicycle and jumping onto another. However, going from v4 to SOAPware 2008/2010 is similar to jumping off a bicycle and into an airplane.
